Is Vergifnis Voorwaardelik Of Onvoorwaardelik?

vergewe_2

Daily Quiet Time

What you put in is what you will get out…

You man, you woman… Pray to stay together – to be held together…

Practice the presence of God – the Gifts of the Holy Spirit…

We sometimes need to remember that we are only dust…

For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.
(Psalms 103:14).

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
(2 Corinthians 3:17-18).

What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.
(1 Corinthians 14:26).

I realised that we do not embrace our humanity. We want to be strong and powerful, but even David said that God remembers that we are only dust. You have to embrace your own humanity and then others… It is that we are frail and limited, not able to carry, performer and give what life demands from us daily. You may be offended and believe that you are able to do all of this, but are you?

Because Jesus experienced temptation when he suffered, he is able to help others when they are tempted.
(Hebrews 2:18).

And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.
(Mark 1:35).

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
(Matthew 6:6).

We have a God that knows and understands who we truly are. We want to be strong and live this daily living as overcomers, but we will fail if we forget our humanity.

All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;
(2 Corinthians 5:18).

The Letter to the Philippians gives us a glimpse of the frailty of humanity, the embrace thereof and the knowing that we are utterly depended on a God that knows and understands this even more than we do.

Are you willing to acknowledge your humanity in total dependence on God?
Will you become a vessel filled and overflowing with all of this becoming a carrier thereof? Mankind needs to know the truth – we are not as strong and invincible as we might think we are…

When I worried about many things, your assuring words soothed my soul.
(Psalms 94:19).

A song for going up to worship. O LORD, out of the depths I call to you. O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be open to my pleas for mercy. O LORD, who would be able to stand if you kept a record of sins? But with you there is forgiveness so that you can be feared. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and with hope I wait for his word. My soul waits for the LORD more than those who watch for the morning, more than those who watch for the morning. O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, because with the LORD there is mercy and with him there is unlimited forgiveness. He will rescue Israel from all its sins.
(Psalms 130:1-8).

We need to come to the full knowledge and understanding of our humanity – that we are nothing with out God. The fact that we even have a breath is a gift from God for He breathed into the nostrils of man the breath of life and man became a living soul.

Knowing that I am nothing and Jesus is my all in all – my source of life.

It is all about
RELATIONSHIP

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
(John 1:1).

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
(Colossians 3:16).

Know the word of God, memorize verses and make it your own.

Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
(James 1:21).

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
(2 Timothy 3:14-17).

Have I not written for you long ago excellent sayings of counsel and knowledge, to make you know for certain what is right and true, that you may give a true answer to those who sent you?
(Proverbs 22:20-21).

Are we going to take hold of this life we have received, no matter what? The lives we live are tough and we face confrontations and challenges daily. Each and everyone that met with God will still have these confrontations and challenges, but it will seem different, because we look at it through different eyes. This new life is first a dying and secondly a resurrection. We succeed only when we die to live.

Jesus Said:

…If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.
(Luke 9:23)

Taking up your cross is the process of dying; it is your walk towards death. Jesus’ words was that we have to die daily, not just carry a heavy load…

Our success lies in the way we die…

No matter what the circumstances are we must die daily to everything else and live for Him, our Lord God and King, our Life-giver. For true life is only found in Him. When we die to everything else the salvation we found in Him becomes our resurrection…

John the Baptist said:

He must increase, but I must decrease.
(John 3:30)

and Paul said:

…that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death; if by any means I might attain to the resurrection of the dead.
(Philippians 3:10-11)

We have to begin each day with God, dying if need be. We have some good traditions and habits, but we also have bad traditions and habits. These bad things must be killed daily in order for us to follow Him. Killing these bad habits is hard and at times it feels like we are dying with it, but do not fear for HE is our resurrection!!!

I don’t know about you, but I don’t die easy. Dying is painful and tough. I cling to stuff that I should actually let go of, which only increase the intensity of the whole dying process. Dying to self does not come easy, but it is possible and together we can do it. It is important to know that you cannot do it alone, you need God first and also the support of family or friends that are willing to walk to death with you that you may “attain to the resurrection of the dead”

The Time Is Now!!!

Its our time now, to step into what the Lord has called us for. No longer are we babes needing to be fed and led by others, but the responsibility has become ours – to live out what the Lord Jesus has called us for. We are to be the pioneers and writers of our own stories. There’s so much in us that needs to come out. The time is now, the favour of the Lord is upon us to walk in His anointing and to perform the works that he has prepared for us before the foundation of the world. For such a time as this He has brought our lives together so that the fullness of His presence can be established in and through us. He has prepared us separately and invested different giftings, fruits and skills in each one of us. These individual attributes are not to function on its own as separate entities, but to come together as a symphony of the beautiful music that only the King of Glory can compose. He will lead, guide, instruct, teach, aid, comfort and bless His works in and through us. He is the composer, the conductor, the musician and the ultimate audience of this beautiful symphony of sounds that He is about to release in our time through us.

Let us cut ourselves loose from what holds us back and seize the moment!
His time is now!

His time – to reach the lost through us. We are responsible for what He tells us, when we hear Him we need to respond to His call. What an honour to be called by the King of Kings, to be chosen by Him to be carriers of His glory to a dark and dying world. Lord help us not to miss this chance you are giving us, help us to not neglect such great Salvation and its essential message – That you are Love !!

For indeed because of the time, you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again what are the first principles of the oracles of God. And you have become in need of milk, and not of solid food.
(Hebrews 5:12).

…Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth was dried.
(Revelation 14:15).

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.
(Ephesians 2:10).

Lord, Bless Our Children

Paul makes it very clear in his writings that relationship is the basis of society and we have a responsibility, one to another. In Colossians 3 Paul again emphasise the importance of family relationships. Children learn by observation (Muscari 1999:89), fathers must therefore treat everyone with LOVE, TRUTH and RESPECT! Mothers must therefore treat their husbands with respect, building and admonishing them and never breaking them down – especially in-front of the children.

Proverbs 22:6 reads “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it”. Psalms 25:10 reads “All the ways of the Lord is mercy and truth, to such who keep His covenant and testimonies”. We are bound by a covenant of love and sacrifice with Jesus Christ as our example. Thus to walk in the ways of the Lord sometimes demands sacrifices and this includes the way we treat and teach our children. Mercy and truth should thus be the foundation of our daily conduct. Our lives should also be filled with testimonies of God’s involvement in our daily lives. The ‘why’ and ‘how’ of our daily conduct and testimonies should be explained in simple terms to our children. “For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved” (Romans 10:10). By doing this we keep God’s covenant and testimonies and lay the foundation for our children’s relationships with the Lord.

Hear the word of the LORD, sons of Israel. For the LORD has a charge against the people of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
There is lying, and swearing, and killing, and stealing, and the committing of adultery; and blood touches blood. Therefore the land shall mourn, and everyone who dwells in it shall droop, with the beasts of the field and with the birds of the heavens. Yes, the fish of the sea shall also be taken away. Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another. For your people are as those who strive with the priest. And you shall stumble in the day, and the prophet also shall stumble with you in the night, and I will cut off your mother.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being priest to Me. You have forgotten the teachings of your God, so I will forget your children.
(Hosea 4:1-6).

This happens when God’s covenant and testimonies are not kept. Here we also read that God’s people are being destroyed for lack of knowledge not having a healthy relationship with God nor one another. Thus the moral of society is based on the growth and development of each person’s personal relationships with the Lord.

You have the responsibility to train and teach your children. This responsibility is not that of the school or teachers but is the parents’. You have to establish the boundaries of your child’s life and make sure that you explain the detail of each boundary to your child, including the punishment when ever it is oversteped.

As a parent you may suggest important facets of training and teaching to the school or teachers. Also to other institutions like Sunday school or children’s church at your church. (I also suggest Heart for the children’s curriculum for social skills and Sunday school).

10 Ways to Bless Your Children

Come Lord Jesus!

Covering is firstly based on relationship. That is why Paul talks about a Husband and Wife relationship. The Husband is the head, but he must adore and love his wife. The Wife must be subject to the husband but must love and respect him.

Being the head speaks about the covering and not a position of rulership. Paul explains that the head must lay down his life for the rest of the body – Jesus said the same thing, but also did it…

That’s why Jesus is the head of the body and we are the body…

In times when relationship does not exist, there is no head, nor body. Paul said that the husband must love in the same way he loves and take care of his own body. The Body is not only the physical body of the man, but it is the body of the unity in the relationship he is in.

We are the body and Christ is the head. It is not the head that treats the wound, but the arms and hands. It is not only the head that say I love you, but the arms and hands that pick you up when you are down and the arms and hands that embrace you when you need love and support.

I do not see a church as the head or the body, for Christ is the head and we are the body… Our relationship with a church forms a unity and structure, but this unity and structure never replace the head or the body. Our relationships within a church is part of the body and the preacher’s words is the hands and feet caring for the body, washing the body and enabling the body.

As far as the covering of the church goes, I do not know – the body is a unity that needs to take care of it self by that which comes from the head (Jesus Christ). We are the hands and feet, we are the body!!!

It might be that we are alone and struggling, but we are still part of the body.

Heavenly Father I need You!
In times of goodness and cheer,
in times of pain and fear.
Lord Jesus I need You!

Come take charge of my relationships,
bind us together for function and unity,
bind us together for love and beauty.
Lord take charge of my relationships.

Fill me up with Your words of truth,
Edify, teach and impart in wisdom,
that we may share it among us
as Your peace fill our hearts.

Come take charge of my life,
fill me up with your truth,
with strength as in my youth,
Jesus, take charge of my life.

Heavenly Father we need You!
Through every joyful tear,
through every valley of fear.
Lord Jesus we need You!

At times we need to ask for relationships with the people He wants in our lives and not those we think or believe should be…

Be blessed,

LIFE AFTER THE MMC 2008

What happens NOW?

We partook of the impartation of life at the MMC 2008, all of us, 60,000 men. We all had a bite or two and we all experienced this life – something awesome changed inside of us…

Are we going to take hold of this life we have received at the MMC and commit ourselves to it, no matter what? The lives we live are tough and we face confrontations and challenges daily. Each and everyone that met with God at the MMC will still have these confrontations and challenges, but it will seem different, because we look at it through different eyes. This new life is first a dying and secondly a resurrection. We succeed only when we die to live. The theme of this year’s MMC was Dying to Live, and rightly so because we were called to die.

Jesus Said:

…If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.
(Luke 9:23)

Taking up your cross is the process of dying; it is your walk towards death. Jesus’ words was that we have to die daily, not just carry a heavy load…

‘MIGHTY MEN’ KONFERENSIE (MMC) 2008

HALLELUJAH!

Die Tema was: Dying to Live

(Gal.2:20).

Voorwaar, voorwaar Ek sê vir julle, as die koringkorrel nie in die grond val en sterf nie, bly dit alleen; maar as dit sterf, dra dit veel vrug.
(Joh.12:24).

Daar is reeds hier en daar ‘n tent of karavaan.
