God’s language

What language does God speak?

Some would say love, others grace or truth, but In Hebrews 1 we read:

Long ago God spoke to our fathers and ancestors, at many times and in many ways. He also sent various prophets to speak to us, but in these last days He has sent His Son. God is speaking to us through Him, whom He also appointed to be Heir of all things, through Whom also He created the heavens and the earth (‭Hebrews‬ ‭1‬:‭1-2‬).

Therefore, Jesus Christ is God’s language. When God wants to communicate he does so through His son. (@lensweet)…

The whole of the Bible is the perfect picture of God’s communication with mankind where Jesus Christ is the thread woven through it all.

It is therefore that in the introduction of “Jesus: a Theography”  Sweet and Viola put it like this:

In Jesus the promise is confirmed, the covenant is renewed, the prophecies are fulfilled, the law is vindicated, salvation is brought near, sacred history has reached its climax, the perfect sacrifice has been offered and accepted, the high priest over the household of God has taken his seat at God’s right hand, the Prophet like Moses has been raised up, the Son of David reigns, the kingdom of God has been inaugurated, the Son of Man has received dominion from the Ancient of Days, the Servant of the Lord, having been smitten to death for his people’s transgression and borne the sin of many, has accomplished the divine purpose, has seen light after the travail of his soul, and is now exalted and extolled and made very high.
