Living in Righteousness

Jesus said that those who continually hunger and thirst for righteousness will receive it. He also said that we must seek His righteousness…

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6 NKJV).

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33 ESV).

When we truly hunger and thirst for God’s righteousness our desire will be to seek for it everywhere! This means that we will seek for it in every situation that we may find ourselves in. We will not be influenced by our emotions or physical desires at all. We will have one focus and one goal, God’s righteousness!!!

The process where we move away from our own emotions and desires toward God’s righteousness is called sanctification… God’s thoughts and ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:11), but when we allow Him, He will sanctify us continually by His Word and blessings.

We will be pursuing holiness and perfection, growing in the grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ, as we grow in our relationship with God.

I know this will not be easy, but Jesus said that those who endure will be saved (Matthew 24:13). Thus it does not matter that you are struggling, as long as you keep trying and never give up.

Holy Father, I come to You knowing that I am not perfect and I need You in my life daily in order to succeed in righteousness. Come and have Your way in me, in Jesus Name, Amen.
