This question have been growing on me like ivy against a high wall… At first I did not notice it, but now the whole wall is almost covered…
Jesus Cried out “Abba Father” in a time of great anguish (Mark 14:36)!
We also read in the gospel of John:
I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me (John 17:34).
I am convinced that we may also call out ‘Abba Father’ in our times of fear, pain and anguish, because of the Father’s love for us!!!
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you (Philippines 4:6-9).
Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).
WE NEED TO HEAR AND KNOW THAT WE BELONG TO HIM, THAT HE LOVES US MORE THAN WE’LL EVER KNOW AND THAT WE ARE ONE…
Herewith a few words that made the ivy more lush…
